NUPENG Suspends Strike Following NNPC Intervention (Read)

The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has suspended its across the nation strike which started on Sunday.

This took after the mediation of the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Maikanti Baru.

In an announcement issued by NNPC Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Ndu Ughamadu, on Monday in Abuja, Baru clarified that his mediation was in national intrigue.

Baru additionally endorsed the expansion in crossing over expenses from N6.20 to N7.20.

"In interceding between the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), and the Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD), we comprehend the trouble of NARTO to go into transactions which needs to do with the level of connecting stipend.
