Nigeria Will Not Know Peace Until Abiola's Killers Are Revealed – Afenifere

The Pan – Yoruba socio-political Organization, Afenifere, has cautioned that there will be no peace in Nigeria until the enemies of acclaimed victor of the June 12, 1993 Presidential decision, MKO Abiola are uncovered.

National Publicity Secretary of the association, Yinka Odumakin, gave the notice while responding to an affirmation by previous Chief of Army Staff, Gen Lt. Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi (rtd), that Abiola did not bite the dust of normal causes while in confinement.

Bamaiyi, in his new book, "Vindication of a General" tested the then Head of State, Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd), to disclose to Nigerians what murdered Abiola.

Responding to Bamaiyi's claim, Odumakin required the setting up of a Commission of Inquiry with the point of uncovering the enemies of Abiola.

Odumakin, in an announcement stated: "For Afenifere, we demand a test of Abiola's passing; we speculated unfairness from the start.

"For an inward individual from the military intrigue to turn out and say this, we demand that the Federal Government must set up a Commission of Inquiry into the demise of Abiola.

"Abiola might be dead and covered yet his apparition will keep on haunting those included in his passing. This nation won't know peace until Abiola's executioners are unmasked."
