Kendrick Lamar Reveals "DAMN." Album Tracklist
Kendrick Lamar has posted the artwork and track list for his new album, arriving this Friday. The record is titled DAMN., and features 14 tracks, with Rihanna and U2 the only apparent guests.
The song titles don't give a lot away and are mostly monosyllabic, referencing seven deadly sin-style emotions like "Lust," "Pride" and "Fear." The album's closer is "Duckworth" - Kendrick's surname. The KTT community suggests "all of the black letters on the white background (DAHTLAEETE2RDH) are an anagram for "2 LET THE DAD HEAR."
The artwork, meanwhile, is really intriguing and a world away from the White House tableau on the cover of To Pimp a Butterfly. The word DAMN. is emblazoned in flat red, serif lettering and doesn't even fit properly within the square. Kendrick looks dazed in a straightforward portrait of him in a white tee next to a wall and the Parental Advisory logo is positioned awkwardly.
Last week it was reported that the album features production credits for BADBADNOTGOOD, Mike WiLL-Made It, DJ Dahi, Sounwave, 9th Wonder, the Alchemist, Greg Kurstin, and a “J. Blake.”
